Robinson delivers 3,000th
R44
13 years after entering the market, the Robinson
R44 helicopter has achieved a new record. On 18th
September the 3,000th
machine from the Californian production site was
handed over to its new owner. With certification in 1992 and
its first delivery in February 1993 there have been more R44's sold
than any other helicopter in the world.
Eurocopter delivers 500th
EC 135
With the acquisition of its 25th
EC 135 the Austrian Automobile-, Motorbike- and Touring Club became
the second largest private EC 135 operator in the world. The machine
was the 500th
to leave the Eurocopter factory in Donauwörth. Currently, the ADAC
Air Ambulance is the largest operator with an EC 135 fleet of 26
helicopters.
Helicopter shuttle:
Amsterdam to Brussels
After a gap of many years the helicopter shuttle
service is to commence again between west European cities. The Dutch
helicopter operator Helinet is offering flights between Amsterdam and
Brussels. From the middle of 2007 three Eurocopter EC 130 helicopters
will operate, each with six passenger seats.
New champion in helicopter

After winning the Open German Helicopter
Championships (ODM) four years in a row Holger Hoven and Michael
Schauff (EC 120) had to relinquish their title to another team in
Ballenstedt. The new German helicopter champions are Andreas Seyfert
and Benno Schulz from Stralsund ( Schweizer
